The International Exchange Program and IUSOH

Outline

The importance of the International Exchange Program in this advanced information age cannot be overemphasized. International exchanges should not be limited to the academic field, since collaborative studies should be promoted among professors and researchers worldwide. The university's International Exchange Program enables faculty members and researchers to attend conferences and study at institutions all over the world.

In May 1985, the Nippon Dental University and the School of Dentistry at the University of Michigan set up the International Union of Schools of Oral Health (IUSOH) to promote international academic exchanges. At present, the fifteen other members of this union are: Chung Shan Medical and Dental College, the University of Paris, West China University of Medical Sciences, the University of Bern, the Hebrew University, the University of British Columbia, the University of Manchester, Mahidol University, the University of Turku, the University of the Philippines, the University of Pennsylvania, the University of Adelaide, the University of Otago, the Health Sciences University of Mongolia, and the University of Maryland.
